Callie's First Circus!

We took the kids to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus on Sunday. My mom and dad went and so did my brother and sister and their families - 13 of us all together! It was a lot of fun...especially since three of the kids had never been to a circus. They were all pretty excited about it. Callie's favorite part was the cotton candy and the elephants! Cameron likes the motorcycles and the parade at the end the best. I could go on and on, but I think the pictures say it best!

Callie's first glance...her eyes were as big as saucers!
Callie and Ryan spent the first part of the circus holding hands and talking...they love each other!

Cory and Callie had a blast together....
...they were singing and dancing for a while and cracking each other up.
Callie made her rounds...she watched for a while on Nana's lap.
Cameron and Cody were watching intently....

Ryan passed out!

Callie the cowgirl :)

She LOVES cotton candy...

...and so does Cameron!

This was when the elephants were coming out....she was yelling "elfants!" Whenever we ask her if she liked the circus, she just talks about the elephants :)

She almost made it through the whole circus....but she crashed on Aunt Shelby's lap right at the end...

Pinewood Derby 2011

This was Cameron's third year racing in the Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts. His first year, he got 1st place for his age, last year he got 2nd place. So, keeping with his record, he took 3rd place this year! The first 3 places get trophies and the chance to go back to race in the Pack Finals. He placed 4th in both previous years and 5th this year in the Pack. It's always fun to watch the races!

Anxiously waiting for the race to start :)

Cameron's Academic Award

The organization that Cameron plays hockey for - C.A.H.A (Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Association) has a special event to recognize the players that stay on the Honor Roll at school throughout the season. They get free tickets to the Cyclone's game and discounted tickets for their friends and family. During the intermission at the game they got to go on the ice and be recognized and their names were scrolled on the BIG screen! Cameron's teacher and her husband even came to the game! She is the greatest! He also received a certificate and patch. We all had a great time and we are SO very proud of our boy!!!

Courtyard Crushers!

Cameron's hockey team this year was sponsored by The Courtyard Marriott. They came up with the name "Courtyard Crushers" for their team. They had a great season with an AMAZING group of coaches. I am really impressed at how well run the organization is. The team made it to the playoffs this year and after a hard fought game ended up coming in 2nd place! It was a great season and we couldn't have been happier. Cameron had a blast as always and can't wait for next season! Here are some pictures from the awards ceremony after the big game! Great Job Crushers!!!

Congratulating the other team....

Silly Faces

When I was clearing off my memory stick I found these pictures....my sister always gets Callie to make funny faces and she loves taking pictures of her! I couldn't resist posting some of them here...this one's for you Aunt Shelby!!!

Be My Valentine

I've never gotten too excited about Valentine's day. Brandon and I choose not to buy each other gifts because I would honestly rather spend money on something for the house (which we did and I'll hopefully be able to update about that soon) than candy that we don't need or flowers that die.

My mom has always had a family dinner for Valentine's day because it is my grandfather's birthday. Even though he passed away a few years ago, she has continued to celebrate every year by having a party for the kids. As always, it was a lot of fun and the kids all had a blast.

Cameron wanted a magic set for his birthday and my mom and dad bought it for him. The only condition was that he put on a magic show for the Valentine's party. He practiced in his room for weeks and was very excited about it. I wasn't allowed to know anything about the show he was planning! I have to admit that I was pretty impressed...he did a very good job! He even wanted to make tickets for everyone to hand out before the show.

The kids had dinner, watched the magic show, exchanged valentines, and opened their goody bags from Nana. It was a fun party for everyone!

Movie star in the making!

All of the kids got to be the "assistant"....they had a blast!

I wish I had a picture of Cody's facial expression....you can tell, though, that he was incredibly amazed when Cameron turned a torn up piece of paper into a brand new pencil!
